Kentucky vs Shawn Stines Charged in the Fatal Shooting of District Judge Kevin Mullins

Security video showed Stines entering Mullins' chambers before the shooting. Video footage presented in court also showed Stines shooting Mullins while the judge was hiding under his desk

 New York State Charges: Mangione faces felony charges, including second-degree murder and weapons possession. State prosecutors originally sought terrorism charges, but a judge dismissed them in September 2025, ruling that ideologically motivated murder does not constitute terrorism under New York law. New York does not have the death penalty.

Federal Charges: In the federal case, Mangione faces two counts of stalking. A federal judge dismissed murder and firearms charges in January 2026, effectively blocking prosecutors from pursuing the federal death penalty. 

Fraser Bohm appeared in a Los Angeles County courtroom to hear his charges, alongside his new attorney, Alan Jackson.
